About Red Horse Ranch

At Red Horse Ranch, our story begins with two chestnut geldings—and the journey they’ve taken us on.

Monroe (“Mo”) is in his 20’s and has been part of the family for the last 16 years. He’s our wise old soul, the horse who’s seen it all, lived all over the country, and who has faced every challenge with a happy demeanor. Mo lives with PPID (Cushing’s), hypothyroidism, and IR (Insulin Resistance), and he’s a picky “hard keeper”. Every day is a balance—of nutrition, supplements, routine, and compassion—to keep him comfortable, healthy, and thriving.

Brioso (“Brio”), on the other hand, is our easy keeper 9 year old with EMS (Equine Metabolic Syndrome). He’s taught us the other side of the coin—the constant management of weight, sugar intake, and exercise. He looks great on air (if you know, you know) and keeps us on our toes with meeting his nutritional needs without turning into a hippo.

Every product we offer, every bit of advice we share, is something Mo and Brio have helped us discover.

They remind us that:

  • No two horses are the same.

  • Metabolic conditions are manageable—with the right tools.

  • Horses with special needs deserve tailored care and respect.

Mo and Brio are not just our inspiration—they’re our teachers, our motivators, and the soul of Red Horse Ranch.

❤️ Together, They Are Our “Why”
