Brioso
“Brio”
Brio is the quieter of the two—a little shy, a little bashful, and very much a one-person horse.
He doesn’t offer his trust easily, but once he lets you in, he gives you everything. Whether it’s a soft nuzzle, a quiet look, or a moment of total connection, Brio reminds us that some horses speak in whispers—and those whispers mean the world.
Brio lives with Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS) and is what many would call an “easy keeper.” Managing his health means strict attention to diet, weight, sugar content, and movement. He’s the kind of horse who can gain weight just looking at hay, so every bite counts.
Brio has taught us that care isn’t just about what you give—it’s about how you give it.
With presence. With patience. With the kind of understanding that only comes from truly knowing your horse.
He’s the reason Red Horse Ranch is as much about education and empathy as it is about effective products. Because horses like Brio don’t just need supplements—they need someone who gets them.
He challenges us in the best ways—teaching us how to balance love with boundaries, care with caution. His health journey reminds us that metabolic issues aren’t one-size-fits-all. Some horses need more, some need less—and all need to be understood.
Brio is the reason we believe metabolic management must be proactive, not reactive.
